Fresh Squeezed Mint Lemonade

Fresh squeezed mint lemonade is a perfect cool-down for the increasingly high temperatures. Super easy to make and more pucker than store-bought :) Juice 12 lemons and add wild mint! It doesn't get any easier. You can add cane sugar if you'd like. Pucker up!! It's tart!!

Back Home

I drove to Michigan last weekend so I could attend my nieces' {Lola and Abbie} second dance recital, celebrate Abbie's 4th birthday, visit with my Grandma, and be with my Mom on Mother's Day! It was a much needed road trip {8 hour drive!} and family time. Home always puts things into perspective and the road I grew up on will always be home to me.  The last picture is at the edge of my sister's yard where we enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets every night. Can't wait to go back!

Kitchen Style

Just a little kitchen organization. Lots of white, black and natural materials once again! There's color on the counters to brighten things up. Working on my collection of cutting boards to match my large collection of cookbooks, too! What do you collect that's kitchen related?

Alpaca Photo Shoot

Here's a preview of a photo shoot I styled yesterday! Alpacas in the hills of Lodi, Wisconsin, cool props and even cooler chics. Jen and I wanted to highlight the great outdoors in it's natural state, focusing on the shades of neutrals we see after the snow melts. We were situated on an amazing ridge overlooking the Wisconsin River with magical trails, trees and pines surrounding us. The alpacas loved the fresh grass and were more than willing to participate (for the most part!) I kept Jenny and Jessica's clothing neutral as well and picked props full of color, like the mustard yellow chair, and a bright pink blanket you will see in future pictures. The amazing bowl came from A La Crate Vintage. Can't wait to share more pictures with you. All around, a beautiful day! I love what I do!

Hang in there. It is astonishing how short a time it can take for very wonderful things to happen.
